THE LEVELS OF REALITY

Reality is not a word that is universally defined and is therefore open to millions and millions of subjectivities. What each of us conceives as real can go beyond what we perceive with our senses, what we see, taste and feel. The levels of reality and the level in which we live it are what define it.

Reality can be understood on a first level as what I see is what is really going on, objective reality. Our mind works like a camera and as such we have no interactive ability with the outside, we believe that everything we experience is an absolute reality. Living from this level results in dissatisfied people and in unconstructive conclusions about what is happening outside.

The next level is the one that occurs under the previous one, that of thoughts and subjective reality. At this level reality is understood as I experiment the world through my thinking, this filter called Thinking helps us to decorate and make up at our leisure what the camera of our mind perceives.

Just as with the filters of popular apps like Snapchat or Instagram, in which with them we change certain aspects of a photo such as simple details such as brightness and contrast or alter the size of the eyes, focus, etc.in the same way our thinking works. It is in this filter, in this level that we can begin to change who we are and want to be.

Here in the subconscious is where we decide whether a situation is stressful, whether a word negatively alters us, whether the image of a person manages to change our mood. This is where we begin to find all the power we have over our reality or if, on the contrary, it is the outside that defines us.

On these two levels of reality is the one we want and should be on: everything I see is an invention, the world is what I think it is. At this level we already understand that our mind does not work like a camera and our reality is more like a canvas, and the artist who is in front of it, is you.

It is here and at this level that we recognize the ability we have to make meaningful changes in our lives. To understand and live in this state of reality we must understand that we do not experience the outside, what we experience are our thoughts about it.

"Reality will be what we are able to build"

Julia Navarro

When we understand that reality is not absolute, that we have a creative capacity about it is when we can begin to live and work from the immense power that was given to us from birth but that over the years we have let it be transformed and, almost nullified, by the outside world.
