START BY STARTING

Every process in life requires that first step: to begin. Every goal fulfilled, every dream realized on this earth had it, the first plane, the cars, the technology, the trips to the cosmos. Everyone started in that step, and I have news for you: your dreams and goals, your projects, also start there.


Suppose a goal that is usually general for many people: to have a better physical condition. When we make the decision to improve our health, from a change in our diet, exercise habits and mental health, what is usually the most difficult step? You know that. The first. The one that will then be transformed into another step, and then another, and then one more, and one additional, each day, to get to a day in which we look back and we will be able to see the journey that started with one step, a decision: Start


To get to see, feel and hear that our goals become reality, it is not enough to want it, to desire it, to visualize it; you must always take the first step, the one that sometimes looks and feels like a leap into the void. This step is not optional, it is not a step that if, you prefer, you do not take, if you do not take it you will be in the same place always, longing to arrive and be where, because of that decision, you have not advanced.

Our life depends on the decisions we make every day, they make us who we are and we are not and they start from questions and concerns. The most important one and the one that gives you the push to do what you do starts in 'why', but I'll talk about this in another post. Another is ' when?'and we can split it in two: 'when are you going to start?'and' when Will you see the project done?'.


The answer to the second question depends to a large extent on the answer to the first and that is why it is so important to answer them very responsibly. Suppose you want to change your eating habits to improve your health or figure, or improve your reading habits, or start a business, or learn to play guitar. If you do not start now, your subconscious understands the task as not or unimportant, relegates it and gives it a place of little relevance in your daily tasks, until there comes a day when you remember that you wanted to do it, and by that time you will have lost a lot of time that you could have given to what you

Do you know what the difference is between a footballer who 'wants to be' professional and one who 'already is' professional?, the difference between someone who' wants to be 'an entrepreneur and someone who 'already is' an entrepreneur?, the difference between someone who 'wants' to change their life and someone who 'changed' it? If you answered those questions with reasons like,' they had better opportunities 'or' they have that special something', or with an answer like' it's Destiny', let me change your perspective. The differences between' an ordinary person and that who is 'extraordinary' are four, and four very specific: mentality, and this we will understand-for now - as having the willingness to want to do things. Discipline, to work almost permanently for a goal. Resilience, to not give up in the face of adversity, and the key to all success: start working to achieve that goal, or dream, or specific project of each one.


The people you admire, they made the decisions that allow them today to be where they are, and there is a decision that largely determines that outcome. The decision to start, and here I will leave a question that will change your life. If you don't start changing your present today, then when? and add a couple of concerns that you can transform into your daily motivational questions: What am I going to do today to get closer to the life of my dreams? and what of what I did today can I stop doing to have a better present?
