The human being works from strategies and they are an integral part of what we do and how we do, and they can go from how we do to determine if a person seems attractive or not, how we make decisions, among many other strategies. Today's proposal is to redesign and rebuild the strategy you use to meet your goals.
You've already designed specific goals: you've created a realistic goal, you've set when it will be a reality, you know how to measure whether you're getting closer or further from your goal, and you know what actions you need to take to make it a reality. Now is the time to redesign the way we set out the strategy that will lead us to see reality as we want to see it.
We will define strategy to understand all the importance that this word has: A series of very thoughtful actions, aimed at a certain end. If you approach the design of your dreams and goals without a work plan, your dream will not pass from just being in your mind or on a piece of paper, if you decided to write it. In many ways the non-prosperity of a dream starts from there, from believing that it is enough to be clear on what we want.
I am not saying that the above is tasteless or unimportant, in fact, it is the first step and that is always usually one of the most important when heading towards our goals, and this I say because, without it, you have decided not to move. The first step is as important as the second, the third, the fourth, and the number that will take to get to your dream, but the first will give you the initial boost. Now, knowing what the next steps are, is the design of the strategy and -if you want- the second step.
"Strategy is the tool that allows us to intervene
in the future to adapt it to our needs and aspirations."
Vague Ideas, Clear Feelings
(Ideas Vagas, Sentimientos Claros).
Jorge González Moore (2005)
Having designed your dreams as specific as possible, now continue to work to achieve them, to make them a reality. For that, you must be clear what the great image is, the great dream you want to achieve, for example: have a better family relationship, enjoy five trips outside the country a year or create an application that changes the way people buy clothes. That great image or great goal is the one you are going to work for.
Now that you know what you want and how you want it, when you want it will help you put the time factor in the strategy. If, for example, your plan is one year, you have 12 months of work, if it is 3 years, you have 36. What you do with each of those months determines your likelihood of success. That's why in your strategy to meet your goals you should know what to do in each of those months.
If we keep reducing it, each month will come with 30 or 31 days, what you do with each of those days must be part of the project, and in that sense, you must be clear what will be the process each week of a given month to meet your goals. That is why I invite you to ask yourself today: What have you done this day to get closer to your dream?
Each step is as important as the previous and the next. Fulfilling your goals is in your hands, and fulfilling them will depend on the quality of the strategy you use for that purpose, without neglecting, at any time, how much you focus on actions that allow you to move towards them and that your thoughts and emotions are aligned with what you want.
